This drawing is: 1. About the ugly side of the world and 2. About relationships. The Prophet, a character in the upper right hand corner tells people what they want to hear, and also simultaneously controls their senses and money (Of course, not everyone subscribes to the same ideologies, so he has both liberal and conservative faces). The reality of this nightmarish world is really less about the people in it, and more about how the prophet controls it to keep his power.

The prophet, of course, is the media- an institution that our countries look to for answers. Of course, the media only answers the questions it chooses or creates, and shelters its followers in a dubious reality in exchange for money and ratings.

In terms of relationships- Without love, understanding, enjoyment, and encouragement we stand alone to face an unfriendly world. Conversely, finding real love is true comfort. The motto in the drawing, "Emitte lucem et veritatem," is Latin for "Send out Light and Truth," which, I think, is more or less what life is about (and a testament to what the media destroys)- to light each other's path with certainty through a dark and corrupt world.
