I've promised to post this for some time. 1000 pageviews seems like the right occasion. This drawing, which follows the "Dragon" poem, depicts children (lower right) meeting the world they were born into.
In my opinion, the world is an inherantly and overwhelmingly evil place whose ugliness is offset only by the smaller intricate and beautiful parts of life. The death of a generation bequethes the world to those ushered into it. Regardless of our position, we are small players in an established system; an industry bent only on profit, corruption, and finally death.
As you can tell, I was in a pretty pessimistic mood at the time I did this (1 year ago). Actually, I'm a pretty optomistic guy. There's always hope for the future. Graphite on paper 8"x10."

It can be extremely hard to cram so much detail into a canvas and still end up with an amazing composition. Industry by ~MAD-PROPZ is one of those works that get this done almost flawlessly. So much to see, so easy to get lost in detail. (Featured by `dinyctis)

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
